Jean-Pierre Nadir Benabadji (* 1965 in Nantes ) is a French businessman and founder of the Metasearch travel portal Easyvoyage .

Life

Nadir was born to an Algerian father and a Breton mother. From 1980 he studied sports science for three years in Lorient ( Brittany ) before specializing in communication science at the École Supérieur de Publicité in Paris in 1983 .

In 1987 he founded "Miss Pizza", the first pizza delivery service for Paris. He had adopted the principle from the US delivery service Domino's Pizza , founded in 1970 , which promised its customers delivery within 45 minutes. At the side of Robert Lafont, he began his career in the press and became a shareholder in the Entreprende publishing group. In 1989 he bought the daily sports newspaper Le Sport and, with the help of journalist Hervé Duthu, converted it into a weekly sports magazine. In 1990 he founded the publishing group "Les Editions de Demain" (EDD). Between 1990 and 1999 he edited various publications: Partir , Cuisine du bout du Monde , Sport's Magazine , Mer & Océan , Cuisine de Saison , Jeux de voyage , Jeux de sport , Cuisiner et Voyager . At the same time, he founded the photo agency Visa Image, which is to market the publishing group's productions in 40 countries.

In 1999 he sold his EDD publishing group and founded the metasearch travel portal Easyvoyage.com in 2000, which offers its users a metasearch search engine for flights, trips, hotels and rental cars as well as editorial content on the subject of travel. In 2006 the offer was expanded with easyviajar.es in Spain and easyviaggio.it in Italy and Jean-Pierre Nadir became chairman of the Easyvoyage Holding organization in December. Easyvoyage.co.uk came onto the British market in 2009 and since 2010 there has also been a website for German-speaking Internet users.

Media appearances

Jean-Pierre Nadir appears regularly on French television and other media and was at times a regular guest on the daily “ Les Grandes Gueulespanel on the RMC radio station . Since 2008 he has moderated a monthly column in the program L'entreprise on the business radio station BFM. He has also appeared in the shows Ils font bouger la France on France 2 , Le téléphone sonne on France Inter and in Capital on M6 . In July 2009 he graced the cover of the business magazine Entreprendre together with the internet company founders Marco Simoncini ( Meetic Group ) and Jaques-Antoine Grangeon ( Vente-privée ) .
