Jean-Pierre Ploué

Jean-Pierre Ploué (* 1962 ) is a French automobile designer .

Career

In 1985 Ploué received a diploma from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art .

Ploué began his career at Renault , where he worked in the design department from 1985 to 1995. He was instrumental in the development of Twingo (1992). He then worked for the Volkswagen Design Center in Wolfsburg from 1995 to 1998 . In 1998 and 1999 he was chief designer at Ford Europe in Cologne.

In 2000 he succeeded Arthur Blakeslee as head of design for the Citroën brand , who retired in March of that year. Associated with this, he headed the Center de Création Citroën . October 1, 2008 Ploué became head of the Design Zentrum ADN (Automotive Design Network) of PSA Peugeot Citroen in Vélizy , where he leads the combined under the umbrella of the ADN design departments of the group.
