Jean-Yves Béziau
Jean-Yves Béziau (born January 15, 1965 in Orléans , France) is a professor and researcher at the Brazilian Research Council CNPq at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro .
Béziau is a French and Swiss citizen. As a former student (and often as a staff member) of Newton da Costa , he works in the field of logic - particularly paraconsistent logic and general logic. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo and a PhD in Logic and Fundamentals in Computer Science from the University of Paris . Béziau is the chief editor and founder of the Logica Universalis newspaper and the Studies in Universal Logic book series.
