Jean-Yves Fourmeau

Jean-Yves Fourmeau (* approx. 1961 ) is a French classical saxophonist and music teacher at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional (CRR) in Cergy-Pontoise .

life and career

At the age of 17 he won first prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris . He then achieved second prize at the International Saxophone Competition in Gap (France). This was followed by a career as a soloist in which he appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France , among others . In 1979 he founded a saxophone quartet called Quatuor de saxophones Jean-Yves Fourmeau , in which the soprano saxophone plays.
