Jean Marius Amadou (born October 1, 1929 in Lons-le-Saunier , † October 23, 2011 in Paris ) was a French singer and humorist .

Life

Amadou began his career in radio, where he presented on a Paris station. In addition to activities in television and film as an actor, he was also active as a puppeteer with whom he commented on political events. Amadou wrote several books and was part of TF1's "Bébête Show" as a singer .

Amadou presented numerous radio broadcasts; His programs on France Inter and Europe 1 became particularly well known . His stage career began in Lyon at the “Théâtre des Célestins”; until the end of the 1950s he was engaged several times at the “Théâtre La Bruyère” and the Théâtre Hébertot in the French capital. It was there that his career as a chansonnier began in 1958 ; Amadou also worked several times as a voice actor. Late in his life, from 1995, he returned to his beginnings as a stage actor.

From 1978 on, Amadou published several books, most of which deal with the social situation and the sensitivities of his compatriots in a humorous way.
