Jean Louveaux

Jean Louveaux (* 1920 ; † October 2, 1999 ) was a French beekeeper .

Life

Louveaux was director of the “Station de Recherches Apicoles” in Bures-sur-Yvette from 1961 to 1981 . Together with his Austrian colleague Friedrich Ruttner, he founded the specialist journal Apidologie in 1970 , today one of the most important bee science journals.
