Jean René Célestin Parédès (born October 17, 1914 in Pusignan , France , † July 13, 1998 in La Seyne-sur-Mer ) was a French actor and singer .

biography

Jean René Célestin Parédès was the son of José Ariza Parédès, a Spaniard who immigrated to France in 1910 at the age of 36. A short time later he married the 29-year-old singer and actress Clotilde Allarousse. She herself came from the country and spent her time with her parents in Pusignan during the First World War , where Parédès was later born. After the war the family moved back to Paris and Parédès only spent his youth with his grandparents in the country. After leaving school, he began to study economics in Paris, where he discovered his love for the theater, so that he later studied singing and acting with Georges Le Roy at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique .

Parédès' acting career began during the Second World War in French film . With representations in The Beauties of the Night , What's New, Pussy? and Chouans! - From 1939 to 1989 he was involved in over 100 film and television productions for 50 years from 1939 to 1989. He often played in the theater and occasionally he was also active as an operetta singer, recording his only album in 1977 with J'ai perdu ma chute .

At the age of 83, Jean Parédès died of a heart attack in the small village of La Seyne-sur-Mer, near Pusignan, where he spent his retirement. He is buried in a family grave in Pusignan.
