Jean Pillot
Jean Pillot ( Latin: Joannes Pilotus ; * 1515 in Bar-le-Duc ; † 1592 in Phalsbourg ) was a French Romance scholar and grammarian.
life and work
Jean Pillot is best known for his Latin grammar of French, which appeared in 1550 and which he wrote for Georg Johann I (Pfalz-Veldenz) , born in 1543 . It had twenty editions by 1641 and was reissued in 2003 with a French translation.
