Jeanne Marie Omelenchuk-Robinson (born March 25, 1931 in Detroit , Michigan , † June 26, 2008 in Lapeer , Michigan) was an American speed skater .

Omelenchuk was able to achieve her first national title as a cyclist before celebrating success in speed skating in the 1950s. When speed skating competitions for women were held for the first time at the Olympic Winter Games in Squaw Valley , California in 1960 , she competed over 500 m, 1000 m and 1500 m and was able to occupy two 15th and one 16th place. Eight years later, Omelenchuk started in Grenoble, France, over 1500 m and 3000 m at the Winter Olympics . She reached places 25 and 11. When she was almost 41, she started again on Olympic ice in Sapporo in 1972 and finished 22nd over 3000 m.

Omelenchuk graduated from Wayne State University and then worked as an art teacher.

In 1985, she launched a policy career and moved to the City Council of Warren one. She held this seat for ten years. In between, she was also mayor for four years.

Omelenchuk was also inducted into various Hall of Fames of Sports in Michigan and Wayne State University.
