The list Roland Düringer - My voice is valid (proper spelling: My voice G! LT, short name: G! LT) is a party in Austria . It was founded in September 2016 by the Austrian actor, cabaret artist, writer and political activist Roland Düringer .

Party formation

The party “List Roland Düringer - My Voice Gilt” was founded on September 21, 2016 by himself in Vienna. Düringer describes his reasons for this in his book MEINE STIMME G! LT ... UND DEINE? He criticizes the fact that the principle of representative democracy only allows the population to make a decision every five years. From then on, in his opinion, there are only a few who, in his opinion, can by no means be described as representative of all Austrians. G! LT campaigns against the form of representative democracy currently practiced in Austria. This is known as prone to corruption and a sham democracy . G! LT says it stands for an open democracy.

Content-related positions

G! LT has no party program , but respects all basic moral values, such as human rights . Because: " Party programs do not solve any problems, only a representative selection of citizens can deliver sustainable results in the discourse , " said Düringer. G! LT stands for the system of open democracy and does not describe any ideology . That's why you don't have a party program. Even if G! LT is a political party according to the electoral law, the self-designation “Partie” is used instead.

National Council election 2017

After dozens of sympathizers across Austria successfully collected declarations of support (2,600 signatures are required, around 4,500 were reached), the party was admitted to the National Council election in October 2017 at the end of this deadline on August 18, 2017. G! LT was up for election in all Austrian federal states for the 2017 National Council election and received 0.95% of the valid votes (this was an absolute 48,234 votes). However, the party was unable to win a National Council mandate due to the four percent hurdle .

Elections after 2017

For the National Council election in Austria 2019 , G! LT wanted to be on the ballot paper again throughout Austria. In the end, however, this goal was not achieved because the party only received a sufficient number of declarations of support in the federal states of Vorarlberg and Tyrol . A total of 1,767 votes were received there.

For the state elections in Vorarlberg in October 2019, G! LT submitted nominations in all of Vorarlberg's electoral districts . The party received 230 or 0.14% of the vote.
