Jehudai Gaon
Jehudai Gaon ( Yehudai Gaon / Yehudai ben Nahman ) was head of the Jewish Academy in Sura from 757 to approx. 761 .
The Halachot Pesukot , a systematic collection of Talmudic law, has come down to us as a written work .
Already at this time he tried (in Palestine!) To replace the Palestinian Talmud with the Babylonian Talmud.
Thirty additions to the treatise Baba Metzia are from him .
