Ekaterina Yuryevna Gubareva

Jekaterina Jurjewna Gubarewa ( Russian Екатерина Юрьевна Губарева , born July 5, 1983 in Kachowka , Kherson Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is the former "Minister for Foreign Affairs" of the internationally unrecognized " Donetsk People's Republic ". She is the wife of Pavel Gubarev .

Life

Gubarewa went to a high school in Kachowka, which she graduated in 2000. She then studied at the Donetsk National Technical University , where she graduated in 2005. There she met her future husband Pavel Yuryevich Gubarev . The couple has three children.

Gabareva paints and her pictures were exhibited in a gallery in Donetsk.

Ukraine war

Gubarewa and her children fled to Rostov-on-Don after his husband Pavel, who recognized himself as the “People's Governor” of Donetsk, was arrested in Donetsk at the beginning of March and brought to Kiev . There she managed smuggling deliveries from Russia to Donetsk. She claimed that these were humanitarian goods and that these supplies came exclusively from "private donors". She denied that military equipment was also supplied. Some of the relief supplies were delivered to the Novorossiya Battalion, which was subordinate to Igor Strelkov .

She was advised by Alexander Dugin . He assured her that Russia fully supported the separatists and was striving for the independence of southern and eastern Ukraine. All local politicians who will vote in the next Ukrainian presidential election should be viewed as traitors, Dugin said. He also advised Gubareva not to compromise with Kiev, but to act radically.

In April 2014 Gubareva was appointed "Minister for Foreign Affairs" of the "Donetsk People's Republic".

On July 25, 2014, she and her husband were placed on the European Union's sanctions list in connection with Russian policy towards Ukraine . She is accused of undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and that her bank account is used to fund illegal separatist groups. Switzerland also imposed sanctions on Gubarewa on August 5, 2014 , followed by Canada on August 6, 2014.

According to the RIA Novosti , in August 2014, for reasons unknown, he was replaced as "Minister for Foreign Affairs". Her successor was the former Vice President of Transnistria, Alexander Karaman .
