Ekaterina Mikhailovna Sharmina , b. Martynowa ( Russian Екатерина Михайловна Шармина (Мартынова) ; born August 6, 1986 in Chelyabinsk ) is a Russian runner who specializes in the 1,500-meter run .

At the Junior European Championships in 2005, she won silver. At the European Indoor Championships 2011 she won bronze and at the World Championships she was eliminated in the semifinals. In 2011 she also won the Russian championship title over 1500 meters.

Because doping Scharmina been banned from 7 December 2015 for three years.

The 1.69 m tall athlete starts for Dynamo Sverdlovsk .
