Jenő Krúdy

Jenő Ödön Krúdy (also Eugen von Krudy and Eugène de Krudy ; pseudonym Tiberius von Gral ; * 1860 in Szécsény , Nógrád county ; † October 22, 1942 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian physician and amateur astronomer .

He studied medicine in Switzerland and worked as a military doctor in the Dutch East Indies . In Singapore and Bombay he began his astronomical research, which he later continued in Europe, especially in the field of the development of improved mirror telescopes . From 1913 onwards he laid down his experiences in several standard works that were very popular at the time. In 1915 the then director was Basler Flammarion -Sternwarte a member of the Royal Astronomical Society elected. Around 1920 Krúdy was director of the observatory in Lucerne .
