Jennifer Jäger (born November 16, 1992 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a German author who mainly publishes fantasy novels under the pseudonym Liza Grimm and who wrote a guest novel for the first time in 2019 as part of the Perry Rhodan science fiction booklet series .

Life

Jennifer Jäger graduated from high school in Würzburg in 2011 . She then studied German , first in Würzburg, then in Munich , and graduated in 2016. She worked as a freelance marketing consultant for publishers and self-publisher authors. She also worked as editor-in-chief for Der Selfpublisher magazine.

In 2013, she founded a writing forum with the writing night . Once a month there is an online event where the members spend a night writing together and answering questions from special guests. Guests were u. a. Markus Heitz , Cornelia Funke and Alexander Kopainski .

Jäger has been writing since she was fifteen and self-published her first book in 2010. In 2018, Die Götter von Asgard was her first publication by Droemer Knaur . There she works as a lecturer in the field of Fantasy & Science Fiction .

Jäger felt honored when Perry Rhodan's editor-in-chief Klaus N. Frick asked her at the book fair one day if she wanted to write a novel for the Perry Rhodan series. Writing the novel after reading some of the novels in the series was "definitely" a challenge. The Perry team supported her and answered her questions patiently. It was an enriching experience.

The pseudonym Liza Grimm goes back to the maiden name of Jennifer Jäger's grandmother. Jäger's great-grandfather (family name Grimm) told her when she was a little girl that the family descended from the Grimm brothers , but that was probably not true. Nevertheless, this sparked a passion for fairy tales, legends and sagas in little Jennifer.
