Jenny Burckhardt , actually Johanna Louise Caroline Burckhardt (born August 22, 1849 in Basel ; † September 29, 1935 there ) was a Swiss painter.

Burckhardt came from a family of artists in Basel, her older sister Marie (1847–1917) was also a painter. Both studied between 1874 and 1878 in Basel with Johann Baptist Weißbrod and in the painting and drawing class of the engraver Friedrich Weber . Study trips took her to Rome , Florence and Munich . Jenny Burckhardt mainly created portraits, often copying old masters . She exhibited her works several times in the Kunsthalle Basel .
