Jens Christian Baas (* 1967 in Aalen ) is a German health insurance manager.

Career

Baas studied human medicine at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Minnesota ( USA ). In 1996 he was awarded a doctorate degree at the University of Heidelberg for his work The function of the reticuloendothelial system after bilio-pancreatic obstructions in the possum model med. PhD . He later worked as a transplant doctor at the surgical university clinics in Heidelberg and Münster . From 1999, Baas worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and became a partner there in 2007.

Since January 1, 2011 he has been a member of the board of the Techniker Krankenkasse . He has been chairman of the board since July 1, 2012 , as the successor to Norbert Klusen .
