Jens-Uwe Hirschberg (born May 6, 1964 in Haldensleben ) is a former German long jumper .

Sporting successes

Hirschberg took part in the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , where he took fourth place. He achieved further successes at the championships of the GDR in 1987 and 1990, where he was second in each case, and in 1986 he won the GDR indoor championships. At the first championships after German reunification, he came third in 1991.

Hirschberg's best performance is 8.18 m, which he achieved in Neubrandenburg in 1987 . He started for SC Magdeburg . In the documents on state doping in the GDR that became public after the fall of the Wall , the name of Hirschberg was also found among the doped athletes.
