Jens Kamieth
Jens Kamieth (born March 17, 1969 in Fröndenberg ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU North Rhine-Westphalia ) who has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament since 2010 .
biography
Kamieth attended elementary school from 1975 to 1979 and the grammar school in Siegen from 1979 to 1988 . After graduating from high school, he did basic military service from 1988 to 1989 in Goslar and Burbach and studied law at the University of Marburg from 1989 to 1996 . He completed his studies with both state exams in 1998.
Kamieth lives in Siegen. He is married and has three sons. Kamieth is chairman of the DRK local association Siegen-Nord and a member of the advisory board of the charity foundation for mothers and children in need, Siegen.
politics
In 1985 he joined the Junge Union , then in 1996 the CDU. From June 2003 to September 2004 he was a member of the Siegen-Wittgenstein district council . On October 1, 2004, Kamieth moved into the city council of Siegen, at the same time he was appointed 1st deputy mayor. Since 2009 he has been chairman of the CDU city association and since 2014 chairman of the youth welfare committee of the city of Siegen.
In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , Kamieth stood for the first time for the state parliament and won the direct mandate in the state constituency of Siegen-Wittgenstein I. In addition to the university town of Siegen, he also represents Burbach , Freudenberg and Neunkirchen in the state parliament .
In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , he was unable to defend his mandate, but moved up before the state parliament was constituted . In the state elections in May 2017, he was able to win back his mandate. In the 16th electoral term of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament he was the legal policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. In the current 17th electoral term he is the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for families, children and youth.
