Jens Müller (born June 22, 1896 ; † January 13, 1949 in Oldenburg ) was a German manufacturer and district manager of the NSDAP in the Weser-Ems district .

Life

The merchant and owner of a cigarette factory joined the NSDAP on January 26, 1926 . He had been a member of the Oldenburg City Council since January 7, 1931. As the local group leader (OLG) of the NSDAP for Oldenburg, he worked from January 21, 1931 to 1932 and until 1932 also as district manager for Oldenburg. In 1932 he filled the position of editor-in-chief for the magazine Freiheitskufer .

From October 17, 1939 to March 4, 1940 he worked as district leader for Oldenburg City. For the NS factory cell organization (NSBO) he worked as deputy Gauleiter from August 10 to August 30, 1933, and then from December 5, 1933 to May 9, 1934 as NSBO ​​managing director.

In the periods from October 2, 1933 to December 31, 1933 and from January 20, 1934 to June 6, 1935, he was the district manager of the NS Trade and Industry Organization (NS-Hago). From January 1934 he took the position of a managing member on the board of the Ring Oldenburger Bauwirt .

On March 19, 1934, he was appointed as the deputy of the Gaufach advisor for class development. From March 21, 1934, he was no longer a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From April 1934 he was appointed district representative in Lower Saxony for the establishment of expert advisory boards from trade and craft.

From March 1, 1935, he worked as the regional organization manager for the leisure organization Kraft durch Freude (KdF). From March 7, 1935 to January 29, 1936, he was deployed to the Gauwalter of the German Labor Front . He then worked as a joint venture company administrator for trade from March 8th to March 14th. Another task awaited him from April 1, 1936 to November 4, 1937 as head of the "Working Group for Loss Prevention" in the Weser-Ems Gau.

After that he was able to continue his party career as Gauamtsleiter des Gauringes I for National Socialist Propaganda from October 18, 1938, as from 1938 he was already working as a consultant in the Reich Propaganda Office Weser-Ems. On May 26, he was promoted to Gauamtsleiter and on May 27, 1940 he was appointed head of the Gau Propaganda Ring.

On October 26, 1940, he was drafted into the Wehrmacht . But already on September 29, 1941 he was able to work again in the Weser-Ems Gau as acting press officer of the Reich Propaganda Office for the Gau. From September he was again district manager.

After the war he was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 1,000 Reichsmarks by the Benefeld Court of Justice on June 18, 1948. This prison sentence was compensated by his time in the internment camp.

He killed himself at the grave of Gauleiter Carl Röver in the New Cemetery in Oldenburg.
