history
Today's Sparkasse Arnsberg-Sundern emerged from various local foundings. The first statutes for a local savings bank were published in Arnsberg in 1821. However, it was not founded until 1837. In 1851, the municipal savings bank in Neheim and in 1882 the savings bank in Allendorf near Sundern followed. In 1903, the Hüsten community savings bank was finally founded. A first merger took place in 1936 with the formation of the association savings bank of the city of Neheim and the Sundern office. In 1941 Hüsten was also added. In connection with the local reorganization, the association savings bank Neheim-Hüsten-Sundern and Sparkasse Arnsberg merged to form today's Sparkasse Arnsberg-Sundern.
