Jens Steiner (* 1975 in Zurich ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Jens Steiner was born in Zurich in 1975. His father is Swiss, his mother Danish. He studied German , philosophy and comparative literature in Zurich and Geneva before working as a teacher and lecturer . Today he is a full-time writer.

  • 2011: Nomination for the long list of the German Book Prize for Hasenleben
  • 2012: Prize of the Swiss Schiller Foundation for rabbit life
  • 2012: “The second book” award from the Marianne and Curt Dienemann Foundation for the manuscript on Carambole
  • 2013: Nomination for the longlist of the German Book Prize for Carambole
  • 2013: Swiss Book Prize for Carambole . The award ceremony took place on November 13th in the new Lettrétage domicile on Mehringdamm in Berlin.
