Christoph Stumpf

Christoph Stumpf (born September 27, 1972 in Regensburg ) is a German legal scholar and lawyer.

Life

Stumpf attended the Ludwigsgymnasium Straubing and the Reichsstadt-Gymnasium Rothenburg odT After graduating from high school, he began to study law and Protestant theology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 1991 . In 1993 he moved to the University of Vienna for one semester and then to the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen . In 1994 he went to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as a scholarship holder of the Hanns Seidel Foundation . He became active in the Corps Franconia Munich and took his legal traineeship in 1996 . 1996/97 he was at LMU research associate of Peter Schlosser .

The clerkship he went through the Landshut regional court in Gaedertz Vieregge Quack Kreile in Prague in Public Prosecutor at the Munich I Regional Court , the District Office of Bad Tolz-Wolfratshausen , in the Schörghuber Group (his sister Alexandra Schörghuber 's Foundation Council of the Schörghuber Group) at Clifford Chance in Frankfurt am Main and at the German Embassy in New Delhi . As a doctoral student of Peter Landau , he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD .

With a grant from the Fritz Thyssen Foundation he went to Christ Church (Oxford) for three years in 1998 . With Oliver O'Donovan he wrote his theological doctoral thesis on Hugo Grotius , with which he was awarded a doctorate in DPhil (Oxon) . In 1999 he was visiting professor at the University of Tartu . After his return , he completed his habilitation in 2001 with Michael Kilian in Halle (Saale) . As an adjunct professor at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg , he reads public law including church and state church law as well as comparative law in public law.

As a lawyer admitted temporarily and as Attorney in Jeddah , he went in 2000 to Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and 2003 to another firm in Hamburg . From 2007 to 2014 he worked for Raupach & Wollert-Elmendorff and since 2014 he has worked for Taylor Wessing .
