Jens Vilhelmsen (* 8. February 1985 ) is a Danish lightweight - rowers .

Vilhelmsen took tenth place at the U23 World Championships in 2007 with the Danish lightweight four without a helmsman . In 2009 Vilhelmsen competed in the Rowing World Cup for the first time . The newly put together foursome with Christian Pedersen , Jens Vilhelmsen, Kasper Winther and Morten Jørgensen won all three World Cup regattas, at the 2009 World Rowing Championships in Poznan the boat crossed the finish line 0.25 seconds behind the German boat. In 2010 the Danish four-man won the first World Cup regatta and finished second in the next two regattas. Fifth place at the European Championships in Portugal was the worst result of the season for Pedersen, Vilhelmsen, Winther and Jørgensen. At the 2010 World Championships in New Zealand, the four Danes fought for victory in the first race, but did not compete afterwards. In 2011 Vilhelmsen switched to the lightweight eighth , with which he won the bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Bled . In 2012 Christian Pedersen and Jens Vilhelmsen rowed in a lightweight two-man without a helmsman , and at the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes, the two took fourth place.

After two years without a start in the World Cup or international championships, Vilhelmsen returned to the lightweight four without a helmsman in 2015. The Danish four in the line-up of Kasper Winther, Jens Vilhelmsen, Jacob Barsøe and Jacob Larsen won the bronze medal at the European championships behind the boats from Switzerland and France. At the 2015 World Championships , the Danes received silver behind the Swiss and ahead of the French. In 2016, Vilhelmsen started together with Emil Espensen in the lightweight two-man team, at the European Championships the two won the silver medal behind the British boat. Together with Espensen, a few weeks later he also competed in the world championships of the non-Olympic boat classes in an easy two-man competition and won the silver medal behind a French selection.
