Jerrier Haddad
Jerrier A. Haddad (born July 17, 1922 in Briarcliff Manor , New York , † March 31, 2017 in Tupper Lake , New York) was an American computer engineer.
Life
Jerrier Haddad joined IBM in 1945 and was part of the IBM 604 development team . He was with Nathaniel Rochester the main developer of the IBM 701 system, the first general-purpose computer for mass production at IBM (and the first fully electronic computer at IBM). Haddad was responsible for both system and circuit-level design, and managed the approximately 200 engineers involved.
From 1977 until his retirement with IBM in 1981 he was vice president for personnel planning in the technical area.
In 1984, like Rochester, he received the Computer Pioneer Award .
