Jerry Galante

Jerry Galante (born April 2 ), also known as "El Galante de la Salsa", is a salsa musician from Cali / Colombia .

Career

Jerry Galante became known among Latin American salsa interpreters for his idiosyncratic style . He became a band leader in the 1980s. Until 1993 he played in groups such as La Sonora Dinamita and Charanga América . From 1993 to 2005 he had record deals with well-known labels such as Geos Productions, Rmm, Latin Star Records and Swing Música. In 1995 he released his first solo album Todo un extasis de amor , which was a great success in Colombia. A short time later he was on tour in Latin America and the USA . In 1996 he signed a record deal with the Rmm label and released his second very successful album, Estoy enamorado . He performs at concerts with salsa stars such as Manny Pacheco , Michael Stuart and Victor Manuelle . Important successes of his career were winning the Paoli Prize in Puerto Rico , the ACE Prize as a local artist in New York, El Caracol Caribe at the Festival de Música del Caribe in Cartagena and the concert “El Concierto Colombia Te Canta” in Madison Square Garden and others. His greatest hits include songs such as Pa'l bailador , Déjame intentar , Se prendió el rumbón , Tú eres lo máximo , No puedo olvidarla , Galante Boogaloo and La pagarás .
