Jerzy Budnik

Jerzy Feliks Budnik (born May 30, 1951 in Wejherowo ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform , PO).

Life

Budnik attended the Johann III. Sobieski high school in Wejherowo and then studied law and administration ( Prawa i Administracji ) at the University of Gdansk . He completed his studies in 1975 with a master's degree in administration. In the early 1980s Budnik was active in Solidarność . From 1983 to 1989 he worked in Wejherowo in the Voivodeship Investment Directorate. On June 6, 1990 he was elected mayor of Wejherowo and stayed there until 1998. In 1997 he was given a seat in the Polish Sejm . After the end of the legislative period, he was in the Sejmik of the Pomeranian Voivodeship from 1998 to 2001 . In 2001 he was re-elected to the Sejm, now as a member of the Platforma Obywatelska. From January 2001 Jerzy Budnik was Vice President of Platforma Obywatelska for the Pomeranian Voivodeship. In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he again entered the Sejm.

In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 , he ran in constituency 26 Gdynia and was able to enter the Sejm with 12,893 votes . Since 2007 he has been the chairman of the Commission on Rules and Affairs of MPs ( Komisja Regulaminowa i Spraw Poselskich ). He has also been a member of the National Defense Commission ( Komisja Obrony Narodowej ) since 2007 and a member of the Commission for Discussing Changes to the Polish Constitution ( Komisja Nadzwyczajna do rozpatrzenia poselskich projektów ustaw o zmianie Konstytucji Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (NZK) ) since 2007 .

Jerzy Budnik is married and has three children.
