Jesús Atienza Serna
Jesús Atienza Serna (born October 15, 1944 in Trespaderne (Burgos)) is a Spanish ambassador .
Life
Jesús Atienza Serna graduated in law from 1974 and entered the diplomatic service. He was accredited to the United Nations and Dublin . In the Spanish Foreign Ministry, he headed the Cooperación Bilateral Técnica department and the State Minister's Gabinete Técnico in the Foreign Office. He was Director General of the Oficina de Información Diplomática .
In 1996 he was sent to Ankara as an ambassador . In 2001 he was sent to Bucharest as ambassador . In 2005 he was appointed special envoy for migration issues.
In 2009 he was simultaneously accredited as counselor ( concurrent accreditation ) to the embassies of Spain in Russia and Belarus .
