Jesús Cabrera Muñoz-Ledo

Jesús Cabrera Muñoz-Ledo (born April 20, 1928 in the Municipio Apaseo el Grande, † September 22, 2000 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican ambassador .

Life

He completed his studies in Celaya and received a degree in law . He attended the Escuela de Derecho in Mexico City and from 1950 to 1952 an economics institute in Paris. From 1949 to 1952, Jesús Cabrera Muñoz-Ledo conducted studies on international relations at the Institute for International Relations in Paris. which he completed with the thesis The Principle of International Public Law . In 1952 he conducted studies for international organizations in Switzerland as a fellow of the French government and the United Nations. In 1953 he joined the Foreign Service of Mexico. He was Assistant to the Permanent Mission of the Mexican Government to UNESCO . In 1965 he was in the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) in the international organizations department. From 1965 to 1975 he taught at the Colegio de México . He chaired the Committee on Foreign Affairs in Parliament. He was a member of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI). From 1969 to 1975, Jesús Cabrera Muñoz-Ledo headed the SRE's cultural department. From 1976 to 1980, Jesús Cabrera Muñoz Ledo was Senator for the State of Guanajuato . From 1976 to 1980 he was a consultant for international affairs in the Comité Ejecutivo Nacional (CEN) of the PRI. From 1978 to 1980 he was secretary for ideological education in the Confederación de Organizaciones Populares (CNOP). From 1981 to 1986 he was ambassador to Australia. His parents were Margarita Muñoz Ledo Primo and the farmer Jesús Cabrera Velázquez. He married the teacher Murel del Olmo Tappan. He was childless.
