Jesús Iturralde

Jesús Iturralde Servín (* 1953 or 1954 ; † September 11, 2012 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname El Camarón (Eng. The crab ), was a Mexican football player in the position of defender .

career

Iturralde began his career in the youth division of the Club Universidad Nacional , where he also received his first professional contract in 1971 . "El Camarón" played for most of the 1970s for the Pumas, with whom he won both the 1975 Mexican Cup and Supercup and in 1977 the Mexican Football Championship. In the following two seasons 1977/78 and 1978/79 a runner-up followed.

In the summer of 1979, Iturralde moved to Club León , where he ended his active career at the beginning of the 1980s and then worked as a sports director until 1990. He then worked in a similar capacity for various clubs and was Vice President of the Delfines de Acapulco , before he again had a long-term commitment at Club Atlante between 1998 and 2007 .

"El Camarón" Iturralde died on September 11, 2012 of complications from a heart attack.
