Jesús Perera (born April 12, 1980 in Olivenza near Badajoz ) is a former Spanish football player .
Player career
From the youth of RCD Mallorca to arise he played in the reserve team of the club in the Segunda División B . After 14 goals in the 2000/01 season he was loaned to second division Albacete Balompié for two years . There he was particularly convincing in the 2002/03 season , when he taxed 22 goals for the promotion of his team and crowned himself top scorer. In the summer of 2003 he returned to Mallorca, which played in the Primera División . After teething problems, he fought his way in the closing stages of the 2003/04 season and secured his team with his goals to stay in the class. In the following season he switched between the starting eleven and substitutes' bench. However, he completely missed the second half of the season.
In 2005 Perera was committed by the first division promoted Celta Vigo . Even after relegation in 2007, he remained loyal to the club and was the best Celta goalscorer in 2007/2008 with 14 goals. Due to financial problems at Celta, he left the club in 2008 and signed a contract with the second division promoted Rayo Vallecano . There he could not prevail and was loaned to league rival FC Elche in 2009 for one season . Although he was only used irregularly in the 2009/10 season , he was able to convince those responsible and was firmly committed in the summer of 2010. His situation improved only marginally in the 2010/11 season . He was often on the bench and only scored two goals during the season.
In the summer of 2011, Perera left Elche and joined Atlético Baleares in Segunda División B. He became a regular again and contributed 23 hits to the fact that his club could win his season. In the play-off games for promotion, however, he failed with his team. In early 2013, he moved to league rival Gimnàstic de Tarragona . He played there until the summer of 2014 when he joined Mérida AD . He ended his career there at the beginning of 2016.
