The Segunda División 2002/03 was the 72nd season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on August 31, 2002 and ended on June 29, 2003 with the 42nd game day. Champion Real Murcia .

Before the season

The 22 teams met twice on 42 match days. The three best teams rose to the Primera División . The last four clubs were relegated.

As relegated from the Primera División , UD Las Palmas , CD Tenerife and Real Saragossa took part. From the Segunda División B came UD Almería , SD Compostela , Getafe FC and Terrassa FC .
