The Segunda División 1982/83 was the 52nd season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 5, 1982 and ended on May 22, 1983. Real Murcia became the champions .

Before the season

The 20 teams met twice on 38 match days. The three best teams rose to the Primera División . The last four clubs were relegated.

Relegated from the Primera División of took FC Cádiz , Hércules CF and CD Castellón part. From Segunda División B came Barcelona Atlètic , Cartagena FC , Palencia CF and Deportivo Xerez .
