The Segunda División 1966/67 was the 36th season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 11, 1966 and ended on April 23, 1967. The relegation games were played between May 28 and June 25, 1967. Champions were Real Sociedad and CD Málaga .
Before the season
The 32 teams were divided into two groups of 16 teams each. The two group winners were promoted directly to the Primera División . The two runners-up played against the 13th and 14th of the Primera División for promotion.
The last two clubs in each group were relegated directly, while the teams in positions 13 and 14 fought relegation against relegation.
Relegated from the Primera División took CD Málaga , RCD Mallorca and Real Betis part. From the Tercera División came CD Castellón , Club Ferrol , Gimnástica de Torrelavega and CD Logroñés .
