Primera División 1968/69

The Segunda División 1968/69 was the 38th season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 8, 1968 and ended on May 8, 1969. Between June 29 and July 9, 1969, the relegation games were played. The champions were Sevilla FC .

Before the season

From this season on, the Segunda División was played in a group. The 20 teams met twice on 38 match days. The three best teams rose to the Primera División .

The last four clubs were relegated directly, the teams in places 13 to 16 had to fight relegation against relegation.

Relegated from La Liga took Real Betis and FC Sevilla in part. From the Tercera División came CD Ilicitano , SD Indautxu , Jerez Industrial and Ontinyent CF .
