The Segunda División 1946/47 was the 16th season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 22, 1946 and ended on April 13, 1947. Between June 8 and July 13, 1947, the relegation games were played. Master became CD Alcoyano .

Before the season

14 teams competed against each other twice in 26 games. The two best clubs were promoted directly to the Primera División , while the third-placed team was promoted through a play-off game.

The last two in the table were relegated directly, while the third from last fought relegation against relegation.

CD Alcoyano and Hércules Alicante took part as relegated from the Primera División , CD Málaga , UD Levante and FC Barakaldo Altos Hornos were relegated from the Tercera División .
