Before the season
The 20 teams met twice on 38 match days. The three best teams rose to the Primera División . The last four clubs were relegated.
Relegated from the Primera División took Rayo Vallecano , Burgos CF and CD Málaga in part. From the Segunda División B came Atlético Madrileño , Barakaldo CF , AgD Ceuta and Linares CF .
