The Segunda División 1992/93 was the 62nd season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 5, 1992 and ended on June 20, 1993. Between June 23 and 30, 1993, the play-off games were played. Master became UE Lleida .

Before the season

The 20 teams met twice on 38 match days. The two best teams went straight to the Primera División . The third and fourth placed played against the 17th and 18th of the Primera División for promotion. The last four clubs were relegated.

Relegated from La Liga took Real Valladolid and RCD Mallorca in part. From the Segunda Division B came CD Badajoz , CD Lugo , CA Marbella and FC Villarreal .
