Atlantic School of Theology

The Atlantic School of Theology ( AST for short ) is a public, ecumenical university in Halifax , Nova Scotia , Canada .

The college was founded in 1971 and has been operated as a university since 1974 with state recognition. The following educational institutions have been incorporated into the Atlantic School of Theology :

• Faculty of Theology at the University of King's College ( Anglican Church of Canada )
• Holy Heart Theological Institute (formerly Holy Heart Seminary) ( Roman Catholic Church )
• Pine Hill Divinity Hall ( United Church of Canada )

The university only offers postgraduate studies and master’s programs with a theological, religious and specific administrative background. AST works with Saint Mary's University Halifax .
