St. Thomas More College

The St. Thomas More College - University of Saskatchewan (abbreviation STM ) is a state, a Roman Catholic college in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan , Canada .

The college was founded in 1936 by the Congregation of St. Basil's Priests , a Roman Catholic religious order ; there was an invitation from the President of the University of Saskatchewan and the Bishop of Saskatoon . In 1943 the college was granted university status. The college is administratively assigned to the University of Saskatchewan, but financially independent. Namesake is Thomas More ; the college is under the auspices of the St. Thomas More College Society .

Around 2000 students are trained in over 250 undergraduate and postgraduate programs in 18 fields of study. The Prairie Center for the Study of Ukrainian Heritage (PCUH) is affiliated with the university .
