The Canadian Mennonite University (abbreviation CMU ) is a private university in Winnipeg , Manitoba , Canada .

The college was founded in 1999 by representatives of the Mennonites from the amalgamation of the Canadian Mennonite Bible College (founded in 1947), Concord College (founded in 1944 as Mennonite Brethren Bible College ) and Menno Simons College (founded in 1988). In 1998 the Canadian Mennonite University was founded.
