The Algoma University is a Canadian University in Sault Ste. Marie . There are 30 different fields of study. It worked with Laurentian University and was known as Algoma University College.

Shingwauk Hall and Adjacent Wings (East, West and North-West)

The Shingwauk Hall building houses several lecture halls and administrative and departmental offices. On the first, second and third floors it is connected to the wing buildings to the west, northwest and east, in which there are further offices and lecture halls as well as a library and several study workplaces.

Bioscience Technology and Convergence Center

In 2009, the university received more than CAN $ 16 million for the construction of a life science and technology center. Construction began in September 2009. The building will have several lecture halls, laboratories and enough space for students and professors. Several institutes will be located, including the Health Informatics Research Institute , the Invasive Species Research Institute , the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Center and the Algoma Games for Health . The building opened in 2011.

Fine Arts and Music Education (FAME) Center

The university is planning a further expansion due to the increase in the number of students. This is said to be in a renovated building in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, which the university bought. In the former Windsor Park Hotel.
