The Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) (for Collège militaire royal du Canada (CMR) ) is a bilingual military academy of the Canadian Armed Forces in Point Frederick near Kingston , Ontario , Canada

The academy was founded in 1876. In 1959 the academy was given university status. In addition to training officers in the Canadian Armed Forces, the college provides university training for military and civilian members of the Department of National Defense. The arts, science, and engineering degree programs are open to both military and civilian students.
