The Université Sainte-Anne ( The Mount for short ) is a state, francophone university in Pointe-de-l'Église , Nova Scotia , Canada .

The college was founded in 1890 by the Roman Catholic clergyman Gustave Maria Blanche CIM . The aim of the college (Collège Sainte-Anne) was to ensure an education for academics . In 1892 it was recognized as a university. In 1971 the rectorate was transferred to laypeople. In 2003 it was merged with the Collège de l'Acadie, founded in 1988 with locations in Pointe-de-l'Église, Halifax , Tusket, Petit-de-Grat and Saint-Joseph-du-Moine.

It is named after Saint Anna .
