Sheriff Nyaling Sanneh

Sheriff Nyaling Sanneh was Seyfo (also the English term chief is common) for the Gambian district of Kiang East .

Live and act

Sanneh was named Seyfo in 1964. In April 1994 he was released from the Jawara regime for allegedly stealing rice, but reinstated by the AFPRC government in 1995 .

With effect from September 19, 2001, Ansumana Sanneh was designated as the new Seyfo of the Kiang East district. He succeeded Sheriff Nyaling Sanneh, who had been dismissed for no reason. Until his removal, Sheriff Nyaling Sanneh was one of the longest-serving Seyfolu.

In 2001, an incident occurred in which Sanneh's sister, Awa Sanneh, got caught between the fronts of supporters of the United Democratic Party (UDP) and Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).
