Jessenitz-Werk is a district of the rural town of Lübenheen in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The district belongs to the municipality of Lübenheen.
Geography and transport links
Jessenitz-Werk is located southeast of the core town of Lübenheen. The state road L 06 runs not far to the west and the L 061 to the south-west. The state border with Lower Saxony runs 6 km to the west.
history
In Jessenitz as in Lübtheen before the First World War by the potash and rock salt mine Jessenitz promoted salt and potash until the flooding of the shaft made the reduction possible. Numerous pings characterize the area, the largest are the Probst Jesar See and in the immediate vicinity the Great Sarm . Rudolf Dankwardt GmbH from Norderstedt has shaped the district since the fall of the Wall . It manufactures or fills products for the cosmetics industry.
Due to the widespread forest fire that broke out on June 30, 2019 on the former military training area Lübenheen , the place was evacuated on the morning of July 1. On July 3, 2019, the 210 residents were able to return to their houses or apartments.
