Jessica Carlson is an American actress , best known for her leading role as Rebecca in the movie Midnight Circus - Welcome to the World of the Vampires .

life and career

Jessica Carlson was born between October 1992 and October 1993. She had her first roles in the short films Blue Dress and Goya . This was followed by a brief cameo in the thriller Life Before My Eyes and an episode role in the long-running crime series Law & Order . She was also featured in a film trailer for the book Die Bücherdiebin by Markus Zusak at the Teen Book Video Awards . Carlson had her biggest role to date as the monkey girl Rebecca in Paul Weitz 's fantasy film Midnight Circus - Welcome to the World of Vampires , which is a film adaptation of the first three volumes of the twelve-part Darren Shan series by Irish author Darren O'Shaughnessy . For this she won an award at the Young Artist Awards 2010 in the category Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actress and was able to prevail against Chloë Moretz , Evanna Lynch and Kiernan Shipka , among others . Your last performance so far had 2010 in the fifth episode of the opening season of Showtime's dramedy The Big C .
