Jessica Tyler Brown (born November 2, 2004 in West Columbia , South Carolina ) is an American actress . She gained notoriety primarily through her recurring role as Vivica Cross in the television series Hawthorne , as well as through her role as Kristi in Paranormal Activity 3 and Paranormal Activity: The Drawn . Her sister Bailey Michelle Brown is also active as an actress, as is her twin brother Tucker Brown, who has so far only made very short guest appearances.

Life

Jessica Tyler Brown was born in 2004 in the small town of West Columbia, part of the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area . Her sister Bailey Michelle and her brother Tucker were born just under a half later. Her parents discovered her acting talent at the age of two and signed her up for a workshop in Hickory , North Carolina , the Principal City of The Unifour . There she was discovered by the talent scout Susie Mains from Los Angeles and brought to California, where the entire family finally moved to support the young girls' careers. Initial assignments in national advertising spots and in print media were soon followed by major engagements.

At a young age, the two began a career as actresses in film and television. The two had their first film appearance together in the horror film Paranormal Activity 3 , whereby the younger of the two only played a small guest role and the older played a young version of one of the main characters. While Bailey Michelle was brought into the main cast of See Dad Run the following year , Jessica Tyler initially also gained experience in television series and was then booked for various film productions. In the same year she was seen in a recurring role in the television series Hawthorne . Valeria Ceraolo, born in Munich in 2000, gave her the voice there, while Lilia Duda gave her the German voice in Paranormal Activity 3 .

In 2011 she also appeared in an episode of the sitcom Happy Endings , followed by a supporting role in the film I Do the following year. Further film appearances were to follow in 2013, where she was booked for three different productions. In the films Enter the Dangerous Mind and Wiener Dog Nationals she only appeared in brief guest roles; In the short film The Lull Breaker , which only lasted a few minutes , she also only took on a small role and played a young version of the character portrayed by Ashleigh Sumner . At the beginning of 2014, another horror film with Brown's participation was released with the Paranormal Activity offshoot Paranormal Activity: The Drawn . In the film she can be seen again in the role of the young Kristi ; her sister, who was one and a half years younger, was no longer booked for this production.
