Jessica Warboys

Jessica Warboys (* 1977 in Newport ) is a British painter , sculptor , performance and video artist .

life and work

Jessica Warboys studied at Falmouth College of Arts in Cornwall from 1998 to 2001 and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London from 2002 to 2004 . She completed her studies in sculpture with a Master of Fine Art.

The sea and the landscape are repeatedly the starting point for Warboys' paintings. The painting Sea Painting, Zennor (2015), from the Sea Painting series , was made by her directly on the coast of Zennor near St. Ives . Another picture from this series is La Cavea (2010).

Les Arènes de Lutèce (2010), Pageant Roll Thunderclap (2012), Ab Ovo (1) (2013), Ab Ovo (2) (2013) and Hill of Dreams (2016) are video films by Jessica Warboys.
