The Jesuit monastery was a monastery of the Jesuits in Xanten .

In 1609 , the Jesuits Riswick from Neumagen and Bebber from Fischeln were called to Xanten because of the pastor's weakness and were given a house in the cathedral chapter shortly afterwards . Riswick and Bebber held their services in the " Holy Spirit Chapel " of Xanten Cathedral , which is also named after them " Jesuit Chapel " . The last Jesuits of Xanten were Father Pesch and Father Dufraine. When Pesch died on March 18, 1789 , Dufraine was the last Jesuit in Germany. In 1802 the monastery was closed by Napoléon Bonaparte .
